Cavite State University (CvSU) has once again earned international recognition as it ranked 1501+ among 2,318 higher education institutions (HEIs) assessed globally in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings.
This feat marks a continued commitment by the University to align its academic and institutional efforts with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The THE Impact Rankings evaluate universities worldwide based on their contributions to sustainability through research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching. CvSU’s performance reflects its growing role in addressing global challenges, particularly in areas such as No Poverty (SDG 1), Quality Education (SDG 4), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Life on Land (SDG 15), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).
Among its strongest showings, CvSU ranked in the 301–400 band for Life Below Water, underscoring its commitment to environmental stewardship and biodiversity conservation. The University also landed in the 601–800 range for SDG 17, highlighting its collaborative efforts in building sustainable partnerships.
CvSU’s inclusion in the rankings comes amid a record-breaking year for the Philippines, with 121 HEIs making it to the 2025 list—the highest representation in Southeast Asia and third globally behind India and Pakistan.
This milestone affirms CvSU’s dedication to fostering inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development through education and innovation. As the University continues to expand its impact, it stands as a proud contributor to the global movement for a better, more sustainable future.
